So, what do you think about that? Are we too busy trying to attract people to our churches, our gatherings, groups, etc., instead of going out where they are? Consider Jesus. He went to the people. He lived with them, ate with them, celebrated with them, cried with them. If the Son of God, did this, then why don't we? Maybe it is time to change how we do things.

Just Fall in Love with Jesus
You may have heard that October is "Love Month" at The Gathering on Wednesday nights at 7pm! Last week, we started a month long series on LOVE! Why? Well, because I felt led by the Spirit to do that. Another reason is we have discussed sin, judgement, wrath, and so on quite a bit. Sometimes we need to balance things out...so, we need to talk about LOVE in October!
Wednesday night, October 12, we will chew on the topic/title, "Just Fall in Love with Jesus." Our primary text will be from John 3:16. What does it mean to "fall in love?" What does in look like to "fall in love with Jesus?" Come to The Gathering and we will find out!

Christ Has Set Us Free
I was reading Galatians 5:1 today and here is what it says, "For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery."
What a great verse! When I was in high school I wore a necklace (I know, I know...but it was cool then!) that had a cross on it with the words "Jesus. Freedom." Jesus has set us free from anyhing and everything tht enslaves us...amen! Confess and repent of any known sin today and then "stand firm" in your freedom from sin!
